As of: 6 October 2026 | Version: 1.1
These terms of use govern the contractual relationship between the provider SYNTON and you as a user. Please read them carefully before registering.
These terms of use apply to the use of the SYNTON platform (available at synton.net and as a progressive web app) and all related services.
Provider:
Kariem Albosta
c/o MDC#1890, Welserstraße 3
87463 Dietmannsried
Germany
Email: synton.app@gmail.com
Conflicting, deviating or supplementary general terms and conditions of the user do not form part of the contract.
SYNTON is a context-based networking platform. The core principle: users write down current intentions (“What moves me right now?”), which become visible in a shared “field” with the help of AI embeddings and an energy model. Where several similar intentions meet, connection suggestions and collaborative spaces (Spaces) emerge.
SYNTON provides the technical infrastructure. The provider is not a contracting party to agreements between users that arise on the platform.
Use is currently free of charge. The provider reserves the right to introduce paid features in the future; existing free core features will be handled with reasonable advance notice.
New registrations on SYNTON are only permitted for persons who have reached the age of 18. By registering, you confirm this minimum age.
Information provided at registration must be truthful. The same person may not create several accounts without express permission.
You are obliged to protect your account and access credentials against unauthorised access. If you suspect misuse, inform the provider without undue delay: synton.app@gmail.com
The user agreement is concluded when the registration is confirmed (magic link by email). These terms of use apply in their currently valid version.
As a user, you undertake:
On SYNTON it is expressly prohibited:
You retain the copyright and all other rights in content you create on SYNTON (intentions, messages, profile descriptions, voice messages).
By posting content, you grant the provider a non-exclusive, worldwide, transferable, royalty-free and revocable licence to store, process, display and transmit this content to authorised recipients as part of operating the platform. The licence is limited to the purpose of operating the platform and ends when the account or the content concerned is deleted.
If you activate the separate, optional AI consent, your intentions and profile texts may be processed to create AI embeddings (vector representations), summaries, context analysis and matching suggestions. Details, providers and the effects of withdrawal are described in the privacy notice. This contractual clause does not replace the separate consent.
You are responsible for the content you create. The provider does not check content for legal violations in advance. If you suspect a violation, please report it to synton.app@gmail.com.
SYNTON uses automated AI processing to offer you connection suggestions. No algorithmic scoring is generated that makes decisions with legal or similarly significant effects (not a case under Art. 22(1) GDPR). The suggestions are non-binding pointers; you always decide yourself whether to get in touch or join a space.
The matching system only takes into account information you have actively provided. There is no hidden reputation system, no public rating function and no cumulative ranking.
Automated safety filters may not save intentions, save them privately only, or remove them from the candidate field. This is not an account block, but it can prevent connection suggestions. If you suspect an error, you can request a human review at synton.app@gmail.com.
Using the AI features is optional. You can withdraw your consent at any time with the AI switch in your profile settings; your content will then no longer be matched using AI.
You can irrevocably delete your account at any time without giving reasons via profile settings → “Delete account”. You can also send an email to synton.app@gmail.com.
The provider is entitled to temporarily block or permanently delete user accounts if:
In the case of serious breaches (in particular section 5), blocking may take place without prior notice. Otherwise a reasonable warning period is granted where circumstances allow.
The provider may discontinue the service with at least 30 days’ notice. In this case, all user data will be exported on request and then deleted.
The provider is liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence and for damage resulting from injury to life, body or health.
In the case of simple negligence, the provider is only liable for breach of an essential contractual obligation (cardinal obligation), and even then only for the foreseeable damage typical of the contract.
Content stored by users is subject to the statutory rules for hosting services, in particular Art. 6 DSA. If the provider becomes aware of specific illegal content, it will take the necessary measures in accordance with applicable law.
SYNTON gives no warranty as to the professional, social or other suitability of the people suggested by matching. Connections are made at your own risk.
The provider accepts no liability for linked external websites and services.
The provider aims for high availability of the service but does not guarantee uninterrupted operation. Maintenance work is announced in advance where possible. Claims for non-availability exist only within the scope of section 9.
The provider may change these terms of use where there is an objective reason and the contractual balance is not shifted unreasonably to your disadvantage, for example in the event of changes in the law, security requirements or new features. Changes are communicated transparently. Where a change requires your express consent, it only applies after you have actively agreed; silence alone does not count as consent. You can end the user relationship before the change takes effect and export your data.
German law applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
If you are a consumer resident in the EU, mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence remain unaffected.
The place of jurisdiction for disputes with merchants, legal entities under public law or special funds under public law is the provider’s registered location. Otherwise, the statutory rules on jurisdiction apply.
Should individual provisions of these terms of use be or become invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected. The invalid provision is replaced by a valid provision that comes closest to the economic purpose of the invalid one.
There are no verbal side agreements. Changes and additions require text form.
